Development to provide new homes or regeneration of existing housing stock either through local plan promotion or through the development control process. From household extensions to larger urban regeneration and greenfield residential development. We work with landowners /developers to secure the allocation of residential development through the development plan
COMMERCIAL & MIXED USE
We provide planning advice and manage planning applications on medium to large scale commercial schemes including new distribution logistics developments, new office buildings in city centres, mixed use developments including the provision of retail and leisure facilities.
We work on urban regeneration projects involving multidisciplinary teams and complex issues. We project manage the specialist team that is required to progress these projects & lead on engagement with stakeholders and the Local Authority. We undertake the initial feasibility work & advise on the project throughout concept to delivery, including advising on planning obligations, affordable housing & major new infrastructure.
GREENFIELD / RURAL
We provide planning advice and manage all types of rural development including agricultural development, permitted development rights for rural industries and rural residential development including development on greenfield sites and within the Greenbelt. Projects need to carefully manage stakeholders including Parish Councils and impact on the local environment.
We have experience with the provision of leisure facilities including upgraded sports facilities, provision of new facilities/sports grounds some of which have been located in the Greenbelt. These proposals often need to carefully consider need, type of facility and its location. Other work involves diversification of landholdings to provide holiday accommodation and other facilities, wedding and event venues.
Much of our experience involves working with heritage assets, listed buildings, conservation areas, world heritage sites and locally listed buildings. We provide heritage policy assessment and where needed we work closely with specialist heritage consultants to advise on the acceptability of proposals.
SITE PROMOTION / FINDING
We have worked with landowners / house builders / promotors to provide site feasibility assessments and identify sites for promotion within the local plan. We can provide advice on small, medium and large strategic sites for development. We can undertake a site search exercise which is generally in a defined location and analyse housing land supply / housing need and delivery.
Sometimes advertisement consent is required, we can provide advise on advert requirements and manage the application process. We have worked in areas where design of advertisement is particularly important such as in London’s Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.
