The Chroma Planning team have a wealth of experience, here is a snapshot of projects we have been involved with.
Kings Road Curzon Cinema Project

Working for a number of years managing the portfolio of the Cadogan Estate. This included the preparation and submission of a flagship application on the King’s Road, London - designed by architect Paul Davis and Partners. The scheme involved a number of complex and sensitive planning issues and was at the forefront of community interest for a number of reasons including heritage. A communications strategy was important to manage community issues and comments in a timely manner.

Working with St Edward Homes on their flagship residential led mixed use scheme, designed by Squire and Partners,  providing a detailed planning and implementation strategy for the delivery of the scheme masterplan which included numerous applications for scheme amendments alongside Section 106 contributions. The work involved ensuring that deliverable planning permissions were provided with phased conditions to suit lengthy construction programmes.

Working on the project from the feasibility stage and progressing the proposals through to the delivery of planning permission and listed building consent for the provision of new private and affordable residential and commercial floorspace in one of London’s most prestigious buildings. Involvement included successfully justifying the loss of employment floorspace in an area in which it is protected and supporting the viability aspects of the application submissions.  We were also involved in managing the discharge of condition process and successfully obtaining permission for amendments to the approved scheme and listed building consents as the design development and implementation process was underway.

Working with a large multidisciplinary team to develop a planning strategy for the demolition of half of a Grade II listed building in Victoria, Central London. The property sat within a prominent location with one of London’s most prestigious luxury hotels being a neighbour meaning engagement was critical to the success of the project.

The scheme was able to sensitively maintain the historic fabric of the building while also provide high quality residential accommodation.

Working with Great Portland Estates to prepare and submit a detailed planning application for the demolition of an existing Royal Mail sorting office and the delivery of a new mixed-use development including office, residential, retail and restaurant floorspace in the heart of the West End, designed by MAKE Architects. We were involved with the project from feasibility through to delivery which included the management of the conditions discharge process.

Work included the submission of planning and listed building consent applications justifying the reversion of the building back to its original residential use and demonstrating the acceptability of the provision of a new restaurant at the adjoining unit.

Working on behalf of Great Portland Estates on their flagship office and retail scheme on Oxford Street, design by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. Work comprised managing a multi-disciplinary project team to successfully deliver planning permission and listed building consent for the proposals which included the retention of an existing façade of heritage value.

224-226 KING'S ROAD

This scheme included the transformation of three separate buildings, including a Grade II listed Banking Hall and Townhouse in a Conservation Area, to provide retail and residential accommodation on the Kings Road in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea. Working with renowned Historic Building consultants and Horden Cherry Lee Architects.

Working with the Great Portland Estate and Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands as part of the Over Station Development (OSD) proposals at Hanover Square. The wider proposals included new retail and officer accommodation fronting New Bond Street. As an OSD Site regular interaction with TfL and Crossrail was necessary. We were involved in the regularisation of scheme amendments as the design and build out were underway.
